I enjoyed Walking around the old town, watching people, and eating food there. 
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (玉龙雪山is 25km from Lijiang. Mules can be rented from the nearby Baisha Village or you can take a cable car to the top. Unfortunately, like many mountains around the world, there is noire snow on the top due to global warming.
The far side of the mountain forms one side of Tiger Leaping Gorge (虎跳峡; Hǔtiàoxiá). We walked 5 km round trip to see the roaring water in the gorge.
