It was pretty challenging to bike 26 km in 90F with the sun pounding on my skin. But I really need to get out of the city to see the ocean and the mountains. Taipei is located in a basin that functions like a streamer trapping heat therein. 
I then took a short hike in the nearby mountain range. I hiked since age 5 with my parents. I always try to take a 3-day hike when I come back to Taiwan. But my schedule is very tight this time, and I barely squeezed in this half day excursion.
